Andrew was educated at Reading and Cambridge universities and is a partner based in the West End, specialising in the licensed and leisure property sector. Over the past fifteen years he has concentrated on providing professional advice to operators, investors and owners of various types of leisure property on valuation, landlord & tenant, agency, rating and asset management.
He has an extensive range of experience in relation to public houses, restaurants, hotels, cinemas, bingo clubs, casinos and motorway service areas having undertaken work for numerous clients and is a member of the firm’s valuation panel. Instructions have included providing advice to Carlsberg UK, Charles Wells, Greene King, Grosvenor, Loch Fyne, M3 Capital Partners, Macquarie, Mecca Bingo, Mitchells & Butlers, Odeon, Punch Taverns, Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company, TGI Friday’s, Whitbread and Young’s.

Portfolio valuation – of Greene King’s securitised estate comprising 904 public houses valued at £834.5m, a Tap valuation comprising a total of 1,705 public houses valued at £1.7bn and a further Tap valuation comprising a total of 2,035 public houses valued at £2.123bn
Portfolio valuation – of Moto’s network of motorway and trunk road service areas valued at £760m for the purposes of a bond issue and refinancing of the business
Sample valuation and review – for company accounts purposes, on behalf of Greene King and Mitchells & Butlers
Portfolio valuation – of Whitbread’s pub restaurant and hotel assets valued at £3.6bn

Settlement of rating appeals – on a large number of leased/tenanted and managed public houses, cinemas and bingo clubs
Valuation on behalf of administrators – of a town centre multi-let leisure scheme valued in excess of £15m
Loan security valuations – relating to the acquisition of 13 separate packages of public houses totalling more than 2,150 properties purchased by Admiral Taverns for in excess of £750m
Asset management and strategic property advice – on behalf of Carlsberg UK in relation to their production and distribution estate
Agency and disposal advice – relating to the sale of 28 tenanted public houses on behalf of Tom Cobleigh and 79 managed pub restaurants for Whitbread
