Catherine is a chartered town planner and an associate in the planning and development team based in the West End. She has substantial experience of alterations, extensions and demolitions of listed buildings and unlisted buildings, many within conservation areas. Catherine also has a depth of knowledge relating to the urban design, townscape analysis and the practical implementation of public realm enhancement projects.
She has considerable experience in providing strategic and property specific advice in respect to residential, commercial, mixed use, heritage, townscape, conservation and tall building proposals, for a wide variety of clients. She has particular experience of large-scale, often high density and complex development and regeneration projects within sensitive Central London environments, such as those affecting world heritage sites and the River Thames.
Catherine has a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic planning process and of the varying objectives of key decision makers and stakeholders, gained through both public and private sector experience. This enables her to devise planning strategies which minimises risk whilst maximising values reflecting individual clients’ wide ranging objectives and often unique drivers. Catherine has well established connections with officers of the City Council, GLA and English Heritage and values the input of key stakeholders and local community groups to the pre application process.
