Chris joined Gerald Eve in 1993 as agency partner based in London. He is now the partner in charge of our Birmingham office, and is jointly responsible for the firm’s regional agency network. Chris has over 20 years’ commercial property experience, specialising in the acquisition and disposal of commercial property and in development site acquisition and disposal. Current clients include ATS, Accident Exchange, Cummins, Peugeot Citroën Automobiles, Stratford on Avon District Council and University of Warwick.
Specific experience
Acquisition of a new logistics centre (50,000 sq ft) in Daventry for Cummins Engine Company, and advising on the acquisition of Alpha I, a new 217,000 sq ft logistics hub in Coleshill, for Accident Exchange which included purchasing the freehold and arranging a subsequent sale and leaseback
Peugeot – disposal advice on Stoke Works, Coventry – an 85 acre ex manufacturing plant for regeneration into a mixed use development of residential and commercial space to include a leaseback of a new UK headquarters office facility of 100,000 sq ft and a 60,000 sq ft training academy . Subsequently advising on the disposal of the 140 acre production plant at Ryton, Coventry and arranging a sale to Trenport Investment for redevelopment and partly for occupation by one of their operating subsidiaries
University of Warwick – advice on various estate management matters including acquisitions, disposals, rating and valuations; for reinstatement and financial reporting
