David joined the firm in 1997 and is responsible for our regional building consultancy teams. He has over 20 years experience within the commercial property market acting on behalf of a diverse range of occupiers and owners.

Specific experience
Dilapidations – strategic advice to both landlords and tenants in respect of dilapidation liabilities and claims; the preparation and negotiation of claims together with the appointment as expert witness

Surveys – inspecting a wide range of building types and uses to assist with commercial decision making

Reinstatement valuations – inspecting and calculating reinstatement valuations for diverse property types and portfolios, for placing reinstatement insurance

Schedules of condition – preparing and agreeing schedules of condition and similar vehicles to limit or protect tenants’ or landlords’ interests within the scope of traditional commercial leases

Development monitoring – for a variety of interested parties including funding organisations and prospective occupiers

Project monitoring – advising clients on construction proposals and thereafter overseeing works to a wide range of commercial property types and uses
