Graham is head of our planning and development team in London and Manchester. He acts for a wide range of landowners in the corporate and public sectors, as well as for property developer clients, and has over 30 years’ experience in the field of complex commercial and residential development.

His emphasis is on the co-ordination of a multi-disciplinary team structure to produce effective solutions to release the potential of clients' properties, overcoming issues of politics, public relations, planning, land assembly and remediation.

Specific experience
Lead role in advising Peugeot Citroën on the strategic redevelopment of the 35ha Stoke Works manufacturing facility in Coventry, which is now under development for mixed use to provide a new corporate headquarters for Peugeot together with 1,700 residential units and a local centre. Subsequent advice in a similar capacity is the disposal of the company's Ryton production facility in Rugby.

Co-ordinating lead planning and development adviser to international corporate clients including Rolls-Royce in respect of East Works at Bristol and Ford UK's 250ha landholdings in Chelmsford for the promotion of major regeneration schemes in mixed use embracing all aspects of strategic advice, funding and disposal structures.

Property adviser to BA London Eye on the development of The Wheel and associated strategic initiatives.

Development, disposal and planning advice to Carlsberg UK including a waterfront scheme of 350 apartments, hotel, shops and restaurant at Tetley's Brewery Wharf, Leeds; and a new rugby league stadium and Tesco Extra store in Warrington on the site of the former brewery.

Adviser to Northampton Borough Council on development matters including the implementation of a joint initiative with English Partnership for a series of major regenerative sites in the town for sports, commercial and residential uses.

Development advice to Christ’s College, Cambridge on proposals for redevelopment involving college ownerships for a retail centre in Cambridge City centre, adjacent to Grade I listed premises.

Strategic and development advice to Christ Church, Oxford on proposals involving the potential in Daventry for development of up to 200ha of a Strategic Development Area for predominantly residential use and in respect of substantial landholdings forming part of the prestigious West End Initiative in central Oxford.

Planning and development advice as part of a specialist team of advisers within Gerald Eve, to The Royal Bank of Scotland, in connection with the acquisition and future management of the £½bn NCP car park portfolio, subsequently advising on central area redevelopment projects and compulsory acquisitions.

Planning and development advice to British Sugar on the proposed release of a redundant 56ha production facility in Ipswich including expert evidence at an appeal inquiry on matters of development appraisal and viability on behalf of the developer, JG Land.
