Hugh is a chartered surveyor and chartered town planner. He is the firm's senior partner and Head of Planning & Development. He has considerable experience in providing strategic and property specific advice to a wide range of investors, developers and occupiers across private, public and voluntary sectors. He has particular expertise with large-scale, high profile and complex development and regeneration projects.
Hugh brings a thorough understanding of the political issues behind national, regional and local policies as well as of the technical aspects of the planning and development process. His expertise lies in devising the strategy to achieve the most effective route to best meet the client's immediate and long term objectives.
He is actively involved in a number of organisations outside Gerald Eve including the Confederation for British Industry, British Property Federation, and the Westminster Property Association. He is also Chairman of the Planning and Development Advisory Group of London First, a business-led group promoting London, which advises on planning matters to London generally.
He is a member of tyhe Executive Borad of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Gerald Eve’s planning team are winners of the London Planning Awards for Best Private Sector Planning Organisation.
