James is a partner in our national building consultancy team based in our City office. He joined us in April 2007 from the MACE Group where he was head of construction for its special projects division.
James has eleven years experience in construction and project management for schemes ranging from £300K to £40m. James is a Member of the Association for Project Management and an Incorporated Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. His recent experience includes the following:
Specific experience
Fairgate Developments – Developers Project Manager for the development of a new mixed use hotel and retail scheme in Surrey. Leading development appraisals, managing selection of the consultant team, coordinating the planning and development control process, and overseeing the works through to completion and occupation.
Kaplan – partnership project manager overseeing the acquisition and fit out of various new office and educational facilities across the UK. Providing project management cost consultancy and management of the framework supply chain.
South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) – Construction phase Project Manager for the conversion of a redundant telephone exchange building into a new university facility as part of the wider Hastings regeneration plan.
Quest Software – Project Manager for the fit out of a new, high specification headquarters building in Maidenhead, including open cellular office space, reception areas, communications equipment rooms, board room, meeting areas and bespoke breakout areas.
Land Securities – Project Manager for the refurbishment and fit out of Grade II listed building at Green Park in London including complete overhaul of central M&E services, fit out of Category A and Category B space, new communications equipment rooms and high standard meeting facilities.
BT Centre – Project Manager for various parallel works including repairs to structural glazing and roof coverings, new staff café and restaurant, central plant replacement programme, new communications rooms and emergency disaster recovery centre, general office fit out, main reception refurbishment and DDA compliance works roll out.
Telereal – Project Manager for the refurbishment of a central London office building, including main and secondary reception areas, front-of-building ground works and courtyard remodelling, alterations to structural glazing, new stone cladding and feature lighting.
Marks & Spencer – Construction Project Manager for the fit out of a new 120,000sqft central London flagship building incorporating five floors of office space, three floors of retail space and 2 sub ground levels for retail stock deliveries and storage.
