James is a chartered town planner based in our planning and development team. He provides clients with advice on site appraisals and site selection, planning applications and planning strategy, development control and appeal work. He provides a range of clients with advice on mixed use, retail and commercial development across England with particular emphasis on central London and east London including experience in advising clients on large scale strategic regeneration schemes in east London. He is experienced in working with large, wide ranging and multidisciplinary teams on complex and long term projects.
Specific experience
Regeneration – advising on strategic large scale regeneration schemes, such as Greenwich Peninsula, Greenwich, including submitting applications, advising on implementation of existing permissions and making representations to policy documents in support of long term regeneration objectives
Central London – advising central London estates and landowners on ongoing planning issues relating to estate management.; advising clients, including Hines UK and Glebe Property, on commercial/mixed use redevelopment proposals
South East England – work has included advising clients in banking and healthcare sectors on planning matters relating to the continued rollout and expansion of facilities
Nationwide – advising institutional landowners on planning strategy relating to the ongoing management and development of retail property portfolios
