Keith is head of Gerald Eve’s energy team and advises energy, petrochemical and utility clients on all aspects of property with particular specialization in business rates, valuation and rent reviews. He is a member of the Energy Institute and is rating adviser to the Energy Networks Association and Association of Electricity Producers.

Managing clients’ business rates liabilities – including strategic advice to ensure they are minimized across a portfolio
Advising power generating, oil and petrochemical companies on appeals against business rates assessments
Negotiated the basis of the 2005 and 2010 rating revaluation for electricity distribution network operators and advised on discussions with the regulator, Ofgem, to ensure continued treatment as a pass through operating cost
Leading negotiations on 2005 rating list appeals on all forms of power stations resulting in substantial savings to the industry
Specializing in the valuation of energy sector and infrastructure assets for all purposes including complex lease renewal and rent review negotiations
Rating adviser to the Association of Electricity Producers and Energy Networks Association – providing strategic recommendations and assisting with government lobbying on issues of mutual interest across the industry
Expert witness at valuation tribunal – advising clients on rent review disputes and presenting cases to arbitrators or expert witnesses
