Mark is a partner in the firm’s valuation department, based in the West End. He has a wide experience of valuation work for loan security purposes, development appraisals, sales and purchases. He advises mainly private sector clients on a variety of property types including commercial and residential investment stock.
With an impressive track record with extensive experience in the valuation of commercial investment property, his experience and expertise over the past ten years extends to investment valuation of assets in the retail, leisure, office and industrial sectors together with residential property in the form of investment opportunities and luxury houses and apartments. He has also been involved in the valuation of many development sites in the form of existing buildings and cleared sites.
Specific experience
Providing advice to the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) in relation to their acquisition of the loan book of some of Ireland’s lenders.
Involved in the acquisition of two adjacent town centre shopping centres, located in the South East of England, let to a range of national tenants and comprising retail, leisure, office and associated multi storey car parking facilities. The combined value reported was in excess of £180m.
Valuation of a multi let office building in Central London, on behalf of a major lender, with a value in excess of £30m.
Valuation of a mixed use portfolio of assets throughout England and Wales owned by a property company with income derived from ground rents, retail, office and residential units. The reported value was in excess of £50m.
The valuation of numerous development sites (with and without planning permission) throughout England and Wales, including the valuation of a proposed residential led, mixed use scheme in Central London with a gross development value in excess of £100m and a residual site value of circa £30m for secured lending purposes.
Numerous valuations of investment property acquired at some of the UK’s leading commercial property auctions on behalf of private investors, property companies and lenders.
Other instructions and experience includes acting as an Independent Expert, preparing reports and giving advice to the courts on both commercial and residential properties, the valuation of luxury residential houses and apartments in Central London, residential investment property and the valuation of single assets or portfolios for Accounts purposes.
Mark is also a member of Gerald Eve’s valuation panel and plays an active role in the graduate APC programme, providing in-house supervisor and counsellor services.
