Myles is a partner our Birmingham office. He has more than nine years’ experience in the industrial and office markets, with particular focus in the disposal, acquisition of industrial and office properties and development land. He has provided specialist development advice and agency services to developers, corporate occupiers and the public sector.
Specific experience
Actively involved in the marketing of ProLogis Park, Midpoint, Minworth Birmingham on behalf of ProLogis Developments. This is a prime 1.4m sq ft B8 warehouse and distribution development where ProLogis have speculatively built DC3 237,134 sq ft and DC4 313,771 sq ft.
Recent transactions include:
Sale of 90 acres of industrial development land in Lincoln on behalf of a private client – the land was acquired by a local developer, Taylor Lindsey
Acquisition of 40,000 sq ft of industrial space in Rugby on behalf of Cummins – the building will be occupied by Cummins for the distribution of truck parts; the acquisition of 100,000 sq ft of industrial space in Daventry also for Cummins – the building will be occupied by Cummins for the storage and distribution of parts to supply their Royal Oak plant in Daventry
Disposal of two sites in Burton upon Trent on behalf of Gamestec; the sites equated to six acres and included 180,000 sq ft of industrial/office accommodation – three of the six acres have been acquired by a local developer, D’Zign UK, who have now redeveloped the site to provide 60,000 sq ft of office/business accommodation
Acquisition of 24,000 sq ft of office accommodation on behalf of Kaplan – part of the Washington Post – who have now relocated from Centre City in Birmingham to the ground and lower floor of Baskerville House, Birmingham; the acquisition of four floors of office accommodation in Temple Row, Birmingham, equating to just over 15,000 sq ft on behalf of Berrymans Lace Mawer
Sale of seven acres of development land in Stratford-upon-Avon on behalf of Stratford-on-Avon District Council – the site was purchased and redeveloped by Gladman Developments. Gerald Eve are retained to market and dispose of in excess of 50,000 sq ft of office accommodation; 10,000 sq ft has recently been let to Stratford Business Services
The disposal of 16 acres of development land in Astley, Stourport, on behalf of Aggregate Industries
