  Nick Brindley

Nick is a chartered town planner and a partner in the firm’s planning and development team. He has in excess of fifteen years’ experience in the private sector providing strategic planning consultancy advice to an extensive range of private and public sector clients.

He has particular expertise in dealing with complex large-scale mixed use redevelopment and regeneration schemes within central London boroughs. Nick has a very thorough understanding of the national, regional and local planning policy context and the technical and environmental aspects of the planning process, which enables him to devise planning strategies which optimise clients’ objectives and minimise risk.

Nick is actively involved in a number of organisations outside Gerald Eve including the Westminster Property Association and London First and has appeared at Examinations on their behalf.

Complex regeneration schemes – e.g. Victoria Transport Interchange; City Forum; Arundel Great Court; Kingsgate House; Wellington/Selbourne Houses (all Land Securities) North Wharf Road; Paddington and Tottenham Court Road (Derwent London); Hanover Square (Great Portland Estates); Rathbone Place (Royal Mail Group) Davies Street (Grosvenor Estate) and King’s Cross Central (Argent).

Commercial led proposals – Plot B1, King’s Cross Central (BNP Paribas/Argent); Cavendish Gate, Regent Street (Great Portland Estates); Grafton Street Mayfair (Hines); UNISON, Euston Road (Unison); Paddington Triangle (Hammerson); Grosvenor Hill, Mayfair (Grosvenor), Farringdon Station (Cardinal Lysander).

Residential led proposals – City Forum (Berkeley), Highbury Park (Mount Anvil), Kingsgate House and Castle Lane (Land Securities), numerous schemes for the Grosvenor Estate.

Student housing development for Universities (University of Arts, Imperial, King’s College, London Metropolitan University) and housing operators (UNITE, Urbanest) throughout London locations. Including securing permission for a 26 storey tower upon plot T6 at King’s Cross Central with Argent.

Estate strategy – providing strategic planning advice from inception to delivery regarding key acquisition/disposal sites for key private and public sector clients including Action for Children, Central London Estates including Grosvenor, and Covent Garden London (Capco) Hotel proposals – Odeon/Leicester Square; Metropole Buildings/Whitehall; Arundel Great Court/Strand; Balderton Street/Mayfair.

Mixed use – high density complex redevelopment schemes throughout central London including land use swaps and credits, heritage considerations, tall buildings, mixed-use policy.
