Robert White

Robert is a partner and heads up building consultancy in London. He has gained experience on most types of property within the residential, public and commercial markets, using and expanding on core building surveying skills. Robert now specialises in providing commercial building surveying advice and is responsible for the development and promotion of good building consultancy practice and techniques.

Specific experience
Commercial building surveys – inspections and reports for a variety of clients and interests

Dilapidations – high level strategic advice to both landlords and tenants and producing schedules and negotiating settlement

Expert witness – expert advice on dilapidations and service charge matters including providing evidence in court

Neighbourly matters (including party walls, rights to light, sunlight and daylight, access agreements and boundary disputes) – acting for building and adjoining owners

Project manager, contract administrator and employer’s agent – works to retail, office and residential properties

Development monitoring developments – for a variety of funders and occupants

Robert was the RICS dispute resolver for the NHBC, sat on the RICS Dispute Resolution Faculty Board, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and chairs and presents for the RICS on the APC, including as an appeals assessor.

Robert is also a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club, the forum for practioners of party walls and presented for the RICS at their party wall roadshow, and is a founder member of the RICS Dilapidations Forum.
