Rupert is a partner in our Valuation and Professional Services department based in Manchester. He rejoined Gerald Eve in May 2005, after three years absence spent with a firm of property consultants. Rupert was previously in our industrial and business space department in the West End where he was based for ten years. He specialises in undertaking commercial valuations throughout the North West for loan security purposes, accounting and development appraisals on behalf of lending institutions, developers and property companies. He provides valuation and landlord & tenant advice in respect of industrial, offices, retail properties and development sites.
Specific experience
Loan security valuation work throughout the North West on a variety of property types including commercial property and residential development sites on behalf of a number of clients including banks, building societies and brokers such as Barclays Bank, Co-operative Bank, Yorkshire Bank and Nationwide Building Society
Valuation for annual accounts and general purposes of commercial property in both Greater Manchester and throughout the North West for a range of clients including Manchester City Council and British Waterways
Development appraisals and valuations of land and existing buildings throughout Greater Manchester for investors and developers including companies such as British Waterways, Co-operative Group, Morley Estates and Barlows
Provision of expert witness valuation advice in respect of Section 18 dilapidations claims and also in relation to litigation cases
Landlord & tenant advice on commercial premises throughout the North West for industrial and trade counter clients including Legal & General (IPIF), Carlsberg UK Ltd, BSS Group and ATS Euromaster; advising retail clients on rent reviews, lease renewals and other landlord and tenant issues across the North West for clients including Co-operative Group, Pizza Express, Zizzi, Ask, Costa, Phones 4U and RAL
Expert witness – provides experts reports for rent review and lease renewal dispute resolution across all sectors focusing on the North West of England
