Sally is a partner in our research department based in the West End. She specialises in industrial and logistics commercial property research.
Whether it is looking at property dynamics of the distribution warehouse markets, understanding the market dynamics of manufacturing off shoring or taking the temperature of industrial occupiers across the UK, Sally is experienced at performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, running corporate surveys and working with clients.
Sally is responsible for Gerald Eve’s Prime Logistics research report– the definitive guide to the UK’s distribution property market. The report includes analysis of transport, stock, demand, supply and labour issues as well as expert commentary and analysis of the UK’s 24 key logistics markets. The research is now in its second edition – which included a detailed study of road congestion and its impact on the distribution property market – released in June 2008 and a six-monthly bulletin of the headline market statistics and trends was initiated in April 2009.
Sally also has her own clients who require bespoke research consultancy. Examples of some recent projects include:
- strategic employment sites assessment for PruPIM Real Estate Investment Management
- employment land review for PruPIM Real Estate Investment Management as part of the company’s response to Chelmsford Borough Council’s draft Core Strategy
- employment land review for JG Ipswich as part of a planning application on a 52 acre site in Babergh district, Suffolk
- analysis for ProLogis on internet retailing and how the sector impacts on distribution strategies and property markets
Sally has also presented at industry conferences such as Shed Show (2006 and 2008) and the Logistics Consultants Forum (November 2008) and at client-sponsored events.
Sally joined Gerald Eve in January 2005 after spending two and half years at DTZ where she specialised in occupier research, with specific focus on logistics and industrial property. Prior to that, she was an analyst at investment bank Goldman Sachs, working in corporate and sectoral research. She has experience of working with many different types of clients, including investors, occupiers, public sector and internal clients.
