Steve is a partner based in our City office. He has 17 years’ experience in general valuation work throughout England, mainly in the Home Counties and London with particular emphasis on rating local property tax valuations in central London, Sussex and East Anglia.
Specific experience
Clients include Chevron, Norwich Union, Prudential, Diageo, Telecity Redbus UK, Unilever UK Foods, EMI Music, Channel 5, DTI, ITV, The Office Group and Warner Music.
Researched and conducted negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency on the 1973, 1990, 1995 and 2000 and currently the 2005 Rating Lists in respect of a variety of property types but predominantly offices including the central London portfolios of the DfT and DTI as well as other government agencies
Advising The New York Times and Matthiesen Fine Art on lease renewals of its central London offices
Presented cases to Valuation Tribunal on several occasions, most recently on behalf of EMI Music and Donington Investments
Steve is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation and Associate Member of the Rating Surveyors’ Association. He sits on the RICS/isurv Valuation Editorial Board and the IPTI (International Property Tax Institute) Editorial Board.
