Steve is a partner based in our City office. He has over 20 years’ experience, the last 14 years with Gerald Eve in general valuation work throughout the UK but has specialised in the office market mainly in Central London and the Home Counties with particular emphasis on rating/local property tax valuations.
Clients include
ITV plc, DMGT, Glaxo, Chevron, Hertz, Cadogan, Prudential, Diageo, Telecity UK Ltd, Unilever UK plc, EMI Music, AVANTA Managed Offices, Department for Business Innovation and Skills, Department for Transport, The Office Group and Warner Music.
He has conducted research and conducted negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency on all the rating lists from 1973 onwards through to the current time in respect of a variety of property types but predominantly offices including the central London portfolios of a number of government agencies, serviced office providers and media companies. He has additionally presented cases to Valuation Tribunal on a number of occasions.
He has saved his clients in excess of £20million on the 2005 Rating List, including the Greater London Authority occupiers of City Hall on the Southbank.
Steve is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation and Associate Member of the Rating Surveyors’ Association. He updates the Rating Dispute chapter of isurv, the Rating section of the London Office Guide. He is also a member of IPTI (International Property Tax Institute).
