Our client Brakes wanted to sell its Aberdeen premises and transfer operations to its existing facility in Dundee. In order to be up and running in time for its busiest period of the year – Christmas – Brakes also needed to acquire and fit out additional space quickly in Dundee.
We worked jointly with other agents in Aberdeen to market the premises. Together we attracted a good offer ahead of schedule and sold the building for £650,000, without any conditions attached.
We acted on Brakes’ behalf to acquire additional space in Dundee adjacent to its existing premises. We negotiated best terms on behalf of Brakes for this leasehold acquisition which included a three-month rent-free period.
Where we came across difficulties, we also found solutions. The property required substantial works to bring the space up to FRI standard. We negotiated early entry to ensure works were completed ahead of schedule, allowing Brakes to be up and running in time for Christmas.
