Client: Hines UK, High Holborn
Planning permission was secured on behalf of Hines UK for the redevelopment of Chichester House, 278-282 High Holborn.
Extensive negotiations were held with the London Borough of Camden on the height and bulk of the proposed scheme. Key planning issues included the impact of the proposed building on views from Lincoln Inn’s Field and along High Holborn, the impact of the proposed development on nearby listed buildings and conservation area, and land use mix. The proposed building will comprise 9,297 sq m of office space, 298 sq m of retail space fronting High Holborn and six residential units.
The scheme was designed by GMW Architects.
