Our client’s building, almost 230,000 sq ft in size, is one of the largest in Victoria, built specifically for them in the 1990s.
A site opposite, occupied by three 1960s vacant office towers, had been identified for redevelopment. When construction recently began, it was clear that the demolition of 500,000 sq ft would cause a major disturbance for our clients for an extended period of time.
Our track record in Victoria and in obtaining allowances for disturbances caused by building works, enabled us to obtain a significant allowance for our client. This equated to a saving in excess of £700,000.
