Client: Former Chelsea College of Art and Design
We were instructed on the former Chelsea College of Art and Design site on Manresa Road, following a number of failed attempts to achieve a successful planning permission. Following our instruction, we advised the client on the key issues relating to the loss of education and the provision of affordable housing as well as scheme development issues and the coordination of preapplication meetings with the relevant parties.
From the time of our instruction a scheme was developed, agreed and submitted to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea within a four month period. Planning permission was granted three months later.
