GE Consumer and Industrial (Lighting) was facing a £382,000 per year rent rise on its 189,000 sq ft distribution centre in Northampton when they called us in.
We conducted thorough research of warehouse transactions in Northampton at the same time as analysing the hypothetical rent review assumptions. We helped the clients to identify issues where legal advice was required.
We were able to use our rental evidence, knowledge of large distribution properties and the legal advice to counter the landlord’s proposal leading to the agreement of a nil increase in the rent.
