Client: JPMorgan Chase - Victoria Embankment

A major cooperate organisation were served Party Wall Notices under the Party Wall Etc Act 1996, and appointed Gerald Eve to represent their interests in respect of the matter.

On the face of it, dealing with the Party Wall Notices was relatively simple, but the proposed works significantly impacted on the Adjoining Owner’s Head Office Building.

We assessed the likely impact of the works and discussed this with the Adjoining Owner and used our experience and skill in dealing with under Neighbourly Matters to ensure that the Adjoining Owner was properly protected during the course of the works.

“Neighbourly matters” is a collective term which covers a number of specialist building consultancy skills that we undertake including:

· access agreement
· access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992
· boundary disputes
· construction noise and pollution
· daylight and sunlight
· expert witness
· Party Wall Etc Act 1996
· rights to light
· rights of way and escape
· schedule of condition
