Client: Northern College for Residential Adult Education Ltd
Our building consultancy team were appointed by a well-known college in Yorkshire to inspect the various buildings on the college campus to allow it to update its building insurance.
Many of the properties on site were of historic significance – the buildings were constructed in three principal phases between 1670 and 1760 and are grade 1 listed. Subsequent less historically significant phases have been added in various phases.
The latest being of 1960s and 1970s construction. This would ordinarily make identifying comparable properties for reinstatement cost assessment very difficult. However working from our existing database of information allied to an appointment of specialist partnership consultants to work alongside us enabled us to access information quickly and efficiently.
We calculated the total policy value at approximately £52 million.
