In a move to further grow its national planning and development business, Gerald Eve has merged with central London planning consultancy Moseley & Webb.
Moseley & Webb brings a stellar client base, a large number of high-profile London schemes and strong central London planning skills to Gerald Eve.
Lisa Webb, a founding partner of Moseley & Webb, joins Gerald Eve as an equity partner, while Paul Vivian and Vanessa Wisby join as an associate and senior planner respectively. The moves take Gerald Eve’s national planning and development team to over 45 people.
Lisa will work closely with Gerald Eve head of planning Hugh Bullock and other GE partners to provide a powerful combination of first-class strategic planning advice and central London expertise. The two companies already work together on major London projects such as Land Securities’ 2.9m sq ft Victoria Transport Interchange scheme.
Hugh Bullock says: “Lisa and her team will add further depth and breadth to our existing planning and development business, bringing additional complementary skills. Our London and Manchester teams now number 28 planning consultants and, as an integrated planning and development team, we deliver planning consultancy, development consultancy, development and financial modelling and compulsory purchase advice, which is particularly effective to clients requiring a comprehensive planning and development service.”
Lisa Webb comments: “Our move to Gerald Eve is a completely natural fit, providing a stronger platform from which to grow our business. We focus on creating development opportunities through planning and realising those opportunities by securing the optimum planning permissions for clients. We already jointly advise on key projects in the capital so this is a logical extension of that teamwork.”
Gerald Eve’s planning and development work extends across the UK including, for example, the growing healthcare sector; urban extensions in Essex and Northamptonshire; Peugeot’s surplus property assets at Ryton, near Coventry; a major mixed-use development in Salford Quays, Manchester; and hotel schemes around the country. In London, Gerald Eve has advised on such complex high-profile projects as Wembley and the Greenwich Peninsula. Gerald Eve represents both private developers and public sector bodies such as the London Development Agency and SEEDA.
Moseley & Webb, which was founded in January 2003, has developed an impressive client list that includes some of central London’s most active players such as Land Securities, British Land, Legal & General, Scottish Widows, Morley and Hines. Key projects include advising British Land on its 900,000 sq ft Ropemaker Place development and Legal & General at St Giles Court, as well as a number of development projects in Victoria for Land Securities.
