Gerald Eve has produced a leaflet outlining how it can help clients considering development involving listed buildings, including the requirements for ‘enabling development’ to cross-fund renovation or preservation works. This is in response to English Heritage’s recently updated policy document on this issue, which sets down seven rigorous policy tests that must be met before any such new development will be considered.

Gerald Eve can draw on its wealth of experience dealing with listed building issues and can advise owners of heritage assets on specialist aspects to secure their restoration and viable reuse. Recent properties on which the firm has advised include Sandhill Park, Taunton: Bewsey Old Hall in Warrington and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital in London.

For a copy of the leaflet, please contact Faye Shelley in planning, James Wright in development or Robert White in building consultancy. All are contactable via the London office telephone number – 020 7493 3338.
