As part of a continued commitment to strengthening its range of services to clients, Gerald Eve has appointed four new partners in 2010.

Hotels specialist, Nick Barber, joins to assist both the leisure and investment teams.  Nick has over 16 years’ experience in the hotels sector working for firms including Colliers and Atisreal (now BNP Paribas Real Estate).  He brings with him specialist investment, development, branding and management expertise, having advised some of the sector’s leading hotel entrepreneurs, investors and operators.

On the professional side, Gerald Eve has recruited Catriona Campbell to head up its retail lease consultancy team.  A former BNP Paribas Real Estate director, Catriona specialises in undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals on behalf of both landlord and tenant clients.  She is also a respected expert witness and has frequently played a role in settling disputes referred to arbitration.

The regional business has been bolstered by the arrival of Roger Littlewood, who has joined the Leeds office.  Roger has vast experience in the rating arena, having previously been responsible for valuation and professional services at HBOS and is a welcome addition to Gerald Eve’s national rating team as they enter a busy period in 2010.

Miles Thompson has joined to lead the London building consultancy team and spearhead its expansion.  He brings with him over 20 years’ experience from King Sturge, where he led a multi-disciplinary team and delivered major projects on behalf of public and private sector clients.

Simon Rees, managing partner at Gerald Eve, comments: “These senior lateral hires increase our strength in depth across both the transactional and professional markets.  As Gerald Eve continues to develop and grow its business, it is important that we are well placed to capitalise on opportunities across the board.”

He continues: “On the professional side, we remain committed to providing clients with the best quality advice from senior practitioners.  With many clients facing challenging trading conditions, access to expert professional advice is more important than ever.”

Gerald Eve has increased its number of equity partners to 88, retaining one of the highest partner-client ratios in the industry.

Gerald Eve, chartered surveyors and property consultants, make or save money from property - acting for around 40% of the FTSE100 on property asset management, agency and professional matters.
