Gerald Eve LLP has again retained its place in the Sunday Times’ 100 best companies to work for list and has risen to 50th place in this year’s rankings (from 78th place in 2009). The list, published on Sunday 7 March 2010, reveals that the firm has improved its ranking through a continued commitment to staff welfare.
Gerald Eve has again recorded positive feedback and ranks 36th out of all 100 companies on questions about the general welfare of staff. In addition to an ongoing commitment to professional development, staff also get support with non-work-related ambitions, whether they want to be a member of the armed forces reserves, a scout leader, magistrate or simply learn something new.
The survey reveals that staff have confidence in the leadership skills of the senior management team (76%) and say their managers are good listeners (74%). They also approve of the work the business is doing to protect the environment (71%) and to support the local community (63%). The firm gets its highest score for colleagues caring a lot about each other, winning an impressive 81% positive result, and they have lots of fun with their workmates (77%).

Gerald Eve is one of just two property consultancies to feature in this year’s best companies list.
