Bishopstrow House is an 18th-century manor house near Warminster, which sits within easy reach of Longleat House and Safari Park. The hotel will benefit from an extensive refurbishment following its acquisition by Longleat Enterprises.
Will Kirkpatrick, partner in Gerald Eve’s leisure team, comments: “This hotel is a great fit for Longleat’s broader business plan to expand the appeal of the house and safari park for longer stay visits and broaden the available commercial opportunities.”
Administrators were appointed earlier this year and are in the process of disposing of von Essen’s 31 hotel portfolio. The portfolio includes a number of iconic hotels such Cliveden in Berkshire and the Royal Crescent in Bath.
