The majority of our clients face complicated planning and development problems. On the surface the problem may seem a simple matter: obtain planning permission, find a developer or sell a piece of land. But the task usually turns out to be more complicated. The scheme is contentious or politically sensitive. There is an issue about planning gain, affordable housing or a conservation issue. Or the market is uncertain. This is the work we thrive on.

A simple approach.
We start with understanding their objectives. We make sure they are aware of all of their options. We look at the upside and downside of changing the timescales, reducing the risk and increasing the value. We check that their objectives haven’t changed. Then we advise on the best route, what this will involve and the time it will take.

Who we help.
The majority of our work comes from direct referrals and recommendations. Many of our clients like to keep a low profile, which we fully respect. Our clients are long-term property owners, experienced developers and public sector bodies.

What differentiates us.
Our clients tell us we remain their adviser on planning and development issues because of the quality of our thinking, our ability to see solutions where others don’t and the way we treat them. We take confidentiality and conflicts of interest very seriously. We have a 50-strong team which means we can always fully resource a project, whilst combining a breadth of skills which provide the very best results for our clients.
