Companies whose businesses are tied to property assets - especially in maturing market sectors - have attracted the attention of private equity, property and institutional investors in recent years.

Pub operators, gaming companies, hotel operators, schools, healthcare providers, utility companies and many others have taken advantage of this investor demand to sell, restructure or refinance property assets. Sale and leasebacks, sale and managebacks, opco/propco splits, securitisation and a range of other financial instruments have become widely used.
