Valuation is our 'bread and butter'. We have nearly 60 surveyors who value properties ranging from houses in Mayfair to oil refineries in Scotland. Our expertise in a range of specialised sectors is evident from our website and we have specialist valuers in all of these teams.

A significant number are loan security valuations for banks. Lenders need detail and analysis of scenarios should the market change, so we give complete appraisals rather than 'pure' valuations. These typically include information on demographics, comparisons with similar properties, rental values and yield comparisons, a view as to the security of the income and the property's re-sale potential. We know that our clients are often under pressure and, as a result, our target is to turn this around in five to ten working days whilst still placing a priority on attention to detail.

Our clients appreciate the extra effort and speedy response, which is why we're on valuation panels of over 30 property lenders. It is a similar story with property companies, whether it’s for accounting or Capital Gains Tax purposes.

We also carry out regular valuation work for occupiers. This is even more pronounced in the kind of market conditions we're currently experiencing, where tenants feel they may be paying more than open market values.
