Gerald Eve Boosts Glasgow Leisure Team With Partner Appointment
Property consultancy Gerald Eve has strengthened its Glasgow office with the appointment of leisure specialist Martin Clarkson as partner.
Martin joins having been a freelance consultant to a number of organisation, including Gerald Eve, for the previous three years. Prior to this he was director of property at G1 Group and has held estates development roles at Bass and Punch Taverns. He also started his career at Gerald Eve, joining the firm as a graduate before leaving to go client side in 1995.
Martin will be focused on existing and new clients in the leisure and licensed property sector, advising on acquisitions, disposals, lettings, valuations and business rates in addition to exploring asset management and strategic requirements. The client base includes operators of bars, restaurants hotels, clubs and other leisure facilities, as well as stakeholders including banks, funders, landlords, administrators and brewers.

Prominent instructions that Martin has previously worked on include: overseeing real estate requirements for Mitchells & Butlers’ high-profile town centre brands; advising brewer Greene King on new Scottish site acquisitions; consulting to Punch Taverns on disposals and lettings; and providing advice to Scottish Canals on waterside leisure opportunities.
