Gerald Eve LLP has retained its place in the Sunday Times’ 100 best companies to work for list for the sixth consecutive year. Ranked in 62nd place, Gerald Eve is the only property services company to have made this year’s list.
Simon Rees, managing partner, comments: “We are proud to have maintained our position on the Best Companies list, which remains for us a key business objective and important barometer of employee satisfaction. At Gerald Eve we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and, as such, do our best to ensure they are well supported, well trained, well motivated and well rewarded.”
Employees singled out Gerald Eve’s commitment to worthy causes as a key contributing factor, a category in which it ranks eighth highest in the country. Staff are encouraged to take a day off every year to carry out voluntary work and the firm pays up to £250 in sponsorship to each staff member.
Employee welfare remains an area of strength for Gerald Eve, whose employees say they have had few stress-related symptoms in the past 12 months because of the job and they are not placed under too much pressure.
A number of people at the company achieve partnership by the age of 30 and many senior partners joined as graduates, which may help explain why employees believe they can make a valuable contribution to the success of the business (79%).
