Gerald Eve Strengthens Leisure Team With Appointment Of Hotel Specialist Peter Haigh
Property consultancy Gerald Eve has continued to strengthen its leisure advisory team with the appointment of sector specialist Peter Haigh BSc FRICS as partner.
Peter has more than thirty years’ experience of the leisure sector both in the UK and internationally, specialising in recent times in the valuation of hotels, mixed-use resort developments and sporting venues. He joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was a member for the hotels team, and will be based at Gerald Eve’s West End office.
Charles Wilford, partner and co-head of Gerald Eve’s national leisure team, comments: “Peter’s arrival is a real boost to the firm’s leisure team and underlines both the importance of the sector within the wider property market and also Gerald Eve’s commitment to offering clients only the very best levels of advice and service.
“Leisure property in general, and hotels in particular, require an increasingly bespoke set of specialist skills and Peter’s experience and expertise means he is uniquely well-placed to offer clients consultancy that can add genuine value to their activities.”
In addition to hotels, Peter has considerable advisory experience with public houses, day visitor attractions, restaurants and bars. Notable recent instructions include the new Montcalm hotel on Chiswell Street in The City, the Earl’s Court and Olympia sites in West London, the Rugby Football Union and Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire. He is also a member of the Entertainment and Leisure Forum.
Peter Haigh comments: “In line with the firm’s track record of leading consultancy advice, Gerald Eve’s reputation in the leisure and hotels market is second-to-none. With the sector set to undergo considerable changes over the short- and medium-term, advice of the highest level is essential if clients are to take advantage of the opportunities that will surely be created.”
