Alexander is a Partner in our Planning and Development team and specialises in providing financial analysis and bespoke appraisals as part of the development consulting process for landowners and occupiers.

Development advice provided includes a variety of financial and risk analysis, disposal, valuation, and planning including preparation and submission of financial viability advice as part of planning applications and inquiries across all major property sectors, specialising in high density central London residential and mixed-use sites.

As part of the Rented Housing Group within Gerald Eve, Alexander advises on financial analysis and valuation matters in relation to the private rented and Build to Rent sectors.

Alexander is also part of our research team, with responsibility for producing the firm’s quarterly Investment Brief, performance analysis and property market forecasts.

Specific experience

Detailed financial analysis and preparation of financial viability reports as part of major mixed-use planning applications in central London on behalf of Almacantar, Berkeley Homes, Grosvenor, Land Securities, Quintain and Royal Mail Group.

Financial viability advice across a number of central London boroughs including extensive experience in Westminster, Camden, Islington, Hammersmith and Fulham and Tower Hamlets dealing with matters such as on and off-site affordable housing, mixed-use policy, heritage and amenity issues.

Specific advice in relation to Build to Rent schemes including investment and development cashflow modelling, financial viability advice and scheme feasibility testing on behalf of developers including be:here, Grosvenor and Westfield.

Advice on development and disposal strategies together with appraisal and scheme viability issues for both commercial and residential development for clients including Rolls-Royce and Christ Church, Oxford.

Advice on acquisition, development and investment strategy in relation to large affordable housing and private rented sector portfolios for landowners, developers and Registered Providers including advice on acquisition of affordable housing portfolio on behalf of Genesis HA.

Portfolio and asset reviews for clients including Tarmac and Kings College London to identify opportunities for realising development value and to inform the on-going estate strategy.
