I’m a Senior Surveyor in our Operational Real Estate team based in the West End. I provide specialist advice in acquisitions and disposals, estate strategy and valuation advice on educational, healthcare, religious orders and other institutional and operational properties, with a focus on student accommodation.
I have experience in the acquisition, disposal and development of institutional property including schools, Universities, religious orders and student accommodation throughout the UK. I have further experience in valuation, estates strategy and other advisory services, including providing Qualified Surveyor’s (Charities Act) Reports.
I have worked with a variety of clients including developers, investments, lenders and owner occupiers such as Waypoint Asset Management, The Ampleforth Abbey Trustees, University of Roehampton, Dukes Education and University College London.
MY RECENT PROJECTS
- Advised on the sale of two student accommodation buildings in Oxford comprising 59 bedrooms which had become surplus to the Charity’s requirements. After undertaking the marketing process the properties sold in excess of their guide price and in compliance with the Charities Act.
- Advised on the options being considered by the University of Brighton in relation to a potential disposal of their existing campus and student accommodation as part of their long term estates strategy. Advised on the value of both the Freehold and Leasehold interests and the implications and considerations for a disposal of the assets.
- Provide loan security valuation advice on behalf of major lenders and private banks often in relation to complex properties. I also undertake valuations and consultancy work on behalf of Independent Schools , Colleges and Universities Recently valued a prestigious independent school in East London on behalf of Dukes Education for acquisition purposes.
- Provided acquisition due diligence on a forward funding opportunity for Waypoint’s Long Income Fund. The asset comprised a 274 bed student accommodation development which was pre-let to Unipol Student Homes on a 25 year RPI linked lease.
