I’m a Partner in our Manchester office. I specialise in providing formal valuation advice on a wide range of asset types for banks, property companies, funds, charities, local authorities, occupiers, developers and high net worth individuals. I also provide expert witness evidence.

I have over 39 years’ experience which has included the coordination and preparation of valuations on behalf of a wide variety of clients adopting comparable, investment, residual and cost approaches.

Key clients include, inter alia, Arbuthnot Latham, Barclays, Ekistics, Handelsbanken, Rothschilds, Stratford upon Avon Council, Tameside Council, Together, Harrow Council, Keele University, Northampton University.



  • Corporate – I was instructed to provide valuations in respect of the IPO of Warehouse REIT which included the coordination of valuing over 40 predominantly industrial assets by our national valuation team, liaising with the company, sponsors, legal and building consultancy teams in preparing the prospectus and completing all requirements in a very short timeframe. Value in excess of £100 million.
  • Local Authority – I was instructed to provide a valuation of part of Bolton Council’s asset register for financial accounting purposes in accordance with CIPFA requirements. This involved valuing over 700 operational and investment assets including ground rents, car parks, crematoria, schools, sports facilities, parks & municipal buildings. I had to coordinate inspections and data retrieval from the clients database, analyse the information, discuss with the Council’s officers and report, including liaising with the auditors. Value in excess of £100 million.
  • Education – I was instructed to value the Manchester University estate for FRS102 purposes which included inspecting all building across the five main campuses including John Rylands Library, Jodrell Bank and preparing valuations, predominantly on a depreciated replacement cost basis. Value in excess of £1,000 million.
