Hari is a Partner of Gerald Eve’s within its Planning and Development team. He leads on provision of development consultancy advice including strategy, financial modelling, planning promotion, valuation and marketing of development sites. Hari has been involved in some of the most challenging major public sector projects including the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC), London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA) and the Homes England (Northstowe as well as various HE funding bids).
OPDC – Hari was one of OPDC’s key advisors on its real estate strategy, including the provision of development consultancy advice and the co-ordination of the real estate, financial and economic inputs required for OPDC’s business cases.
LLDC – Hari was seconded to LLDC as project director for East Bank (formerly Olympicopolis) – the Mayor of London’s vision for a new cultural quarter on the Olympic Park. Hari played a key role in the preparation of the Business Case for the project and helped negotiate the grant funding for the project with central Government offices including GLA, DCLG, HM Treasury and DCMS. Hari also negotiated commercial terms with UCL and UAL and assisted the procurement of a design team through an international design competition.
Homes England – Hari has played a key role on one of Homes England’s most important sites – Northstowe which will be an 8,500 unit new town. Hari played a key role in the exercising of options agreements together with broader development consultancy and strategies for delivery.
Build to Rent – On behalf of Grosvenor, Hari developed a bespoke financial model to examine potential returns from the Build to Rent sector over a 50-year period. The model was used as a financial tool to support business plan approval for large scale investment into the sector. Hari has also advised Delancey, M&G and Essential Living on various projects across London.
Acquisitions – Hari played a lead role in the acquisition of Stephenson Street (West Ham) development site from the GLA on behalf of Berkeley Homes (South East London) and has undertaken similar acquisitions on behalf of Delancey and Skanska.
Disposals – Hari has also managed a number of disposals including Safestore in Whitechapel, Diageo in Park Royal and Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells. Hari was also involved in the disposal of both Chobham Manor and East Wick and Sweetwater as the first LLDC owned development platforms on the Olympic Park (both OEJU).
