Hugh Bullock


I’m now serving in a Non-Executive advisory role, having stepped down as Chairman of Gerald Eve. Prior to becoming the Chairman in April 2015, I was the Senior Partner and Member of the Executive Board for seven years.

My expertise lies in complex development and regeneration projects, bringing an understanding of both the political issues and technical aspects behind national, regional and local policies and the planning and development process.

I principally advise international and UK investors, developers and occupiers, across private, public and third sectors, on town planning and development. Clients include the Great Estates of Central London, the major REIT’s, sovereign and private equity funds, national institutions and Government, hotels, major sports facilities and universities.



  • I advised on the Yoo Capital acquisition of Olympia London (1.1m sq ft over 14 acres) for $435million. Planning permission was obtained for a comprehensive development of a total of 1.6m sq ft.
  • I advised on the Elizabeth Line including central London Over Station Developments at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon, London. Following the Parliamentary process, collaboration agreements were put in place and planning permissions were obtained for the former freeholders, now developers – Cardinal Lysander, Derwent London, Grosvenor and Great Portland Estates.
  • I advised London West End hotels for Hinduja Group/OHL Developments (Old War Office, Whitehall), Qatari Diar (former United States of America Embassy, Grosvenor Square), Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (The Peninsula London, Hyde Park Corner) and LVMH (Cheval Blanc, Bond Street). Planning permission was obtained for the development to create the new hotel opportunities.
