Jon is a Partner in our Industrial and Logistics team based in Birmingham, where he is also the Head of Office. He specialises in acquisition, disposal and development of commercial sites throughout the East and West Midlands and has over 19 years’ experience.

Jon works closely with the Capital Markets team, providing market advice and intelligence as well as due diligence. He also works closely with the Planning & Development team, providing strategic advice.

Jon sits on the National Committee for the Industrial Agents Society.

Specific experience

Advising St Modwen on strategic development sites in the Midlands totalling c. 400 acres, for commercial uses. These include Burton Gateway a new 64 acre business park in Staffordshire with planning for 1 million sq ft of industrial accommodation.

Advising IM Properties on Birmingham’s premier business park, The Hub, Aston totalling c. 90 acres. This included the relocation of Birmingham’s Wholesales Markets to a bespoke 240,000 sq ft new facility, and lettings totalling c. 460,000 sq ft to Argos, TNT and KitchenCraft, EBB and EEF.

Advising Opus Land and Manse on a new 185 acre business park know as Prospero, Ansty Park, Coventry, comprising the redevelopment of brownfield site owned by Rolls Royce into a new 2 million sq ft business park. The first occupier secured being 440,000 sq ft manufacturing facility to Meggitt Aerospace.

Advising Trebor Developments on the acquisition of a 13 acre site in the Black Country and subsequent disposal of a built to suit facility to Steel & Alloy Processing for a new 300,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.

Advising Henry Boot Developments on strategic land sites is totalling c. 90 acres in Nottingham (Imperial Tobacco site) and Walsall (Phoenix 10), for the development of new business parks totalling c. 1 million sq ft across both sites. Both sites involved complicated transactions with local authorities and complicated brownfield sites.

Advising CBRE Global Investors on numerous multi-let industrial estates across the Midlands regions, securing market leading rents and lease terms.
