I joined Gerald Eve in January 2019 as a Facilities Manager, part of the Property & Asset Management team (PAM). Previously working at British Land on their shopping centres and retail parks and prior to that, working in the commercial insurance sector.
I work regionally covering sites in Leicester, Birmingham, Tamworth and Sheffield, but as we grow this is open to change. The sites vary from commercial multi-let offices, industrial parks and retail.
FM’s (facility managers) deal with the day to day running of the sites and are the 1st point of contact for our service partners and tenants. We maintain a high level of customer service as several tenants run their head offices from our sites as we are often the face of many businesses.
Our key role is the health, safety and compliance, ensuring each site is a safe environment. We complete risk assessments and audits, monitor contractors’ performance, and conduct plant optimisation. Working to the Health & safety at Work Act 1999 the FM team pride ourselves on high compliance scores and exceptional service.
