Gerald Eve has scooped the prestigious ‘Employer of the Year’ accolade at the 2018 EG Awards.
The firm has been at the forefront of work to promote diversity and employee wellbeing, and this award recognises its achievements in spearheading a range of industry-leading initiatives that have realised real change.
Simon Rees, managing partner at Gerald Eve, said: “This was a fantastic night for Gerald Eve, and reflects both the seriousness with which the firm takes these issues, as well as the energy and resources we put into addressing them. Our people are at the heart of the business, and to secure the ‘Employer of the Year’ title is testament to the work from everyone at Gerald Eve.”
The independent panel of judges, comprising some of the most prominent figures in the UK property industry, were impressed by Gerald Eve’s commitment to wellbeing – including being a signatory to the ‘Time to Change’ mental health pledge – as well as its work in improving the diversity of the sector as part of ‘Changing the Face of Property’, and the range of benefits available to employees.
Sarah Draper, HR director at Gerald Eve, added: “Everything Gerald Eve does is designed to help people reach their potential, be themselves, and be supported in their professional and personal lives. The firm is unparalleled for its work on the key issues of diversity and welfare – and it is Gerald Eve, its employees and its clients that are reaping the benefits. Our ongoing feedback has shown Gerald Eve is a great place to work, and we now have the award to prove it!”
Managing partner Simon Rees and HR director Sarah Draper collected the award from comedian Sara Pascoe at a gala ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel on Wednesday 19th September. The awards, hosted by Estates Gazette, are among the industry’s most prestigious accolades.
