I’m a Partner in our Residential department based in the West End. I specialise in advising on statutory and capital valuations of Central London (Mayfair, Portman Village, Belgravia and Chelsea) residential properties, particularly in the field of Leasehold Enfranchisement.

I have worked in the commercial and residential sectors since 2005 and over the years have been involved in valuations for secure lending and tax purposes, party wall matters, CPOs, specialist valuations, property management, development and valuations of investment portfolios. My work also involves the preparation of proofs of evidence for First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) hearings together with giving evidence as an expert witness on valuation issues for the freeholders before the tribunal.

I provide valuation advice to private clients, charities and major London Estates relating to matters under Leasehold Reform Act 1967 (as amended) and the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (as amended). I negotiate premiums for lease extensions/freehold purchases and clients’ recoverable costs. My experience ranges from valuing a £55 million London townhouse in Belgravia to negotiating a premium in excess of £13 million for collective enfranchisement in Marylebone.



  • I advised on a collective enfranchisement claim under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (as amended) in Chelsea, representing the freeholder. This was quite  a complex claim, involving two large houses with a caretaker’s flat and 9 self-contained flats, land leased to London Underground Ltd (with District Line running right below the subject), together with negotiating a premium, hope value for development potential in the basement and restrictions in terms of transfer. This case involved collaboration with our Planning and Development department as well as obtaining Counsel’s opinion.
  • I was instructed by an investment management firm to provide their client (an offshore company holding freehold interest in the property) with  advice on a lease extension of a flat located in Covent Garden.
  • I was appointed by charities, to provide my advice on claims in relation to lease extensions of flats (with allocated garages) located in Fitzrovia, Enfield and Richmond upon Thames. I successfully completed negotiations of all premiums and my clients’ costs.
