My experience covers seven Rating Revaluations in Scotland.

My key clients include Scottish Power, SSE, Dobbie’s, William Strikes Ltd, Fred Olsen Renewables and Ventient/ Renantis.

I am a member of the RICS and a Registered Valuer. Other professional memberships include the Institute of Revenues Rating & Valuation and Rating Surveyors Association.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• I provide rating advice to power generating and other utility providers in Scotland dealing with Transmission and Distribution networks, power stations and renewables sites.
• I represent clients such as EDF, Ventient/Renantis, Fred Olsen, SSE, Schroders Greencoat in a number of Revaluation appeals for wind farms in Scotland. Savings to my wind farm clients over £25m as a result of RV reductions in the 2017 revaluation.
• I liaise with clients in respect of rating strategy, serving and dealing with appeals, providing budgetary advice and updating clients on changes to rating law.
• As retained rating advisor to trade bodies such as the British Holiday & Homes Park Association and the Horticulture Trade Association I contribute to strategic policy formation and advise on technical valuation matters across the 2017 and 2023 Rating Revaluations in Scotland.
