I am an Associate working within Gerald Eve’s Glasgow office. I am a member of the rating team, carrying out inspection, analysis and valuation on an extensive range of property types across Scotland.

  • My core experience extends to advising a wide range of clients regarding all aspects of business rates in Scotland, including appeal/proposals, valuations/negotiations/disposals and Local Authority finance matters.
  • My particular focus sits within the hospitality, leisure and licenced sectors, representing our clients and their portfolios across Scotland. For the 2023 Revaluation, I was heavily involved in the analysis, valuation and creating/issuing of proposals on behalf of our clients across the country: clients including Hilton, Marriott, Dalata, Pizza Express, BKUK, David Lloyd, Bannatynes for example.
  • I played a significant role in the analysis and disposal of 2017 Revaluation appeals/proposals for Local Authority clients across their portfolios. Our instruction has been carried forward to the 2023 Revaluation regarding the valuation and submission of proposals for key assets within their respective estates: including public buildings, schools and other commercial concerns. Our clients include City of Edinburgh Council, Midlothian Council, Stirling Council and Moray Council.
  • I regularly present to clients at CPD events regarding Rating current affairs, such as new and updated legislation that passes through Scottish Government and amendments to current valuation practice.
  • I successfully advised, applied for and negotiated various Non-Domestic reliefs and grants available to our clients over the 2017 Revaluation and continue to provide best in class advice for the 2023 Revaluation.
  • I am an RICS accredited Registered Valuer.
