I am a Senior Surveyor based in Gerald Eve’s London West End office, providing advice regarding minerals, waste management and related industries. I joined Gerald Eve in 2018 after completing an undergraduate degree in Engineering Geology and a master’s degree in Surveying and Land/Environment Management at Camborne School of Mines. I have also worked as a Grade Control Geologist in the china clay operations situated in St Austell, Cornwall.

My skillset extends to estates management, landlord and tenant, and agency advice for mineral and waste property. Clients I have worked for include operators, landlords, tenants, lending institutions and acquiring authorities. 

I am a Chartered Surveyor, RICS Registered Valuer and member of the Rating Surveyors’ Association, experienced in a range of mineral and waste asset types, and have undertaken work for a variety of client sites across the south of England. Our Minerals team extend to regional offices in Leeds and Cardiff and we frequently collaborate on projects to utilise specialist regional knowledge. 

I understand the oddities and complexities that accompany mineral and waste property and how the characteristics of this property necessitates keen attention to detail.

 

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • I have undertaken valuations for a range of purposes including internal reporting, secured lending, negotiation advice, and compensation. 
  • I have completed a substantial amount of business rates work which has encompassed; negotiating significant reductions to business rates assessments; securing rate relief for unoccupied property; recommending accruals; advising appropriate recharges for tenanted property.  
  • I have successfully negotiated compensation for a variety of mineral and waste property types. My experience includes mineral reserves sterilised by infrastructure; sterilised void reserves; and mineral handling sites acquired for redevelopment.
