Specific experience

He advises the Odeon and UCI cinemas group on all rent reviews and lease renewals throughout the UK. He has considerable experience in third party referrals and has given Expert Witness evidence at formal rent review oral hearings.

He also advises Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos on all rent reviews on an on-going basis and holds lease advisory instructions from various other independent bingo operators. He has successfully resisted all attempts to increase bingo club rents post the impact of the Smoking Ban and the Gaming Act.

The specialist valuation advice Daniel has recently provided extends to all of the Rank Group’s bingo clubs and casinos in respect of a proposed change of shareholder ownership and a number of Gala’s bingo clubs and casinos which were held in an ‘opco/propco’ arrangement.

Daniel has advised on a number of high profile London buildings including having recently represented Odeon in relation to the redevelopment of its Marble Arch cinema, the sale of the landmark Coronet cinema in Notting Hill and the sale of The Old Brewery at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich for the Greenwich Foundation and Meantime Brewing Company.
