Jim Parker



I am a Partner in the Residential Development Valuation team. My principal responsibility is providing valuation advice to lenders, land/homeowners, developers, and institutional investors. That advice is typically in the form of valuations for secured lending, accounts purposes, or acquisition/disposal.

I have over twenty years of valuation experience majoring principally in residential property. That valuation work has involved a wide range of residential asset types, including everything from single units to large residential portfolios, and small development sites to large regeneration projects.

My valuation experience is largely from a central London base and I have therefore established an extensive knowledge of the Prime Central London residential Market. I have also benefitted from a background that includes leasehold enfranchisement valuations in central London thus providing me with an excellent understanding of valuing short leasehold properties.

My key clients are mainly UK and foreign banks, lenders and funds seeking valuation advice on residential property/development sites before providing secured lending.



  • Secured lending valuation of a cleared site in north west London (NW6) with planning permission in place for the construction of three buildings providing office space and 106 self-contained flats (including affordable housing)
  • Valuation of a vacant office building in West Sussex with Prior Approval in place for its conversion to provide 76 self-contained flats
  • Valuation for development finance of a dated self-contained flat in South Kensington to be fully modernised
  • Accounts valuation of a large site in the centre of a prominent East Sussex town with planning in place for its regeneration to provide a mix of retail, commercial premises, and over 400 homes of varying types classed as a mixture of private and affordable units.
