Josh Pater



I’m a Partner at Gerald Eve, based in our London office. I bring over 14 years of experience within logistics and industrial markets to my role, most recently concentrating on the e-commerce and Urban Logistics markets.

I specialise in the disposal and acquisition of industrial and logistics assets with a focus on urban logistics across the London and South East regions. I am also experienced in the development of multi let industrial estates and trade parks, having advised developers and landlords on schemes varying in size from 50,000 sq. ft. – 250,000 sq. ft.

My clients include Ocado PLC, BCA, SEGRO, L&G, M&G, Prologis and BMO Real Estate Partners.



  • Ocado – Acting on behalf of Ocado, I provide acquisition and disposal advice, assisting with their growth across the country. I have assisted in acquiring over 1m sq ft of National and Urban Logistics space including their most recent Fulfilment Centre at Purfleet and non-food facilities in Erith and Welwyn Garden City.
  • Former Distribution Centre, Erith – On behalf of a UK asset manager, I advised on the sale following vacant possession of a 100,000 sq ft distribution centre in Erith, SE London. This followed a comprehensive marketing campaign and yielded a price far in excess of market valuation.
  • Gatwick Distribution Centre – On behalf of SEGRO, I provided advice in relation to the refurbishment and reletting of two cargo buildings located airside at Gatwick Airport. The transactions totalled approximately 100,000 sq ft in two buildings.
