I am a Partner in our London-based Planning and Development team. A Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in delivering major planning permissions and providing strategic advice across a wide range of sectors including higher education, industrial and logistics, residential, mixed-use regeneration and the arts and cultural sector.

I specialise in advising on complex planning applications, often in sensitive heritage contexts. My expertise includes managing major applications, development plan strategies, stakeholder engagement and planning input to regeneration projects.  Evaluating the risks and benefits associated with proposed development schemes and identifying the measures that can be taken to remove or minimise risk, are important elements of my planning advice.

I have advised a wide range of occupiers, investors and developers. My clients include the Grosvenor Estate, Landsec, UCL, UAL, Westminster City Council and London Borough of Camden.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • The Grosvenor Estate – I advise on a variety of scale projects across the Mayfair and Belgravia estates. This involves engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and politicians, preparing and negotiating planning permissions and listed building consents and advising on emerging planning policy documents.
  • University College London – I provide planning advice to UCL on its central London campus which contains many high-grade listed buildings and is largely within the Bloomsbury Conservation Area. The role includes obtaining planning permissions and listed building consents for refurbishment, extension and redevelopment projects for UCL’s buildings and infrastructure. I also advised UCL on the masterplan for its new campus, UCL East, on the Olympic Park at Stratford.
  • Westminster City Council – I have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary Gerald Eve team advising the Council on the redevelopment of a major mixed-use building in central London to re-provide homes and deliver new commercial uses in a sensitive heritage location.
  • Arts & Culture – I have advised a number of cultural institutions on their estates over the years including Tate, the Natural History Museum, the British Library and the British Museum. This has included bringing forward new masterplans, delivering major planning permissions, stakeholder consultation and input to emerging planning policy documents to influence policies and site allocations.
